St. Paul's Church, Malta, Built at the Expense of the late Queen Dowager Adelaide, 1850. 'The interior is very spacious: its dimensions are stated to exceed those of any of the modern churches in London, the length of the area being 110 feet; breadth, 67 feet; and height, 45 feet...The Malta Church has open sittings for upwards of 1500 persons. The ceiling is elegantly decorated with panels and mouldings, and is supported by ranges of columns, with richly sculptured Corinthian columns; and the sides and altar end are embellished with pilasters of similar design.
