The Aged Freemasons' Asylum, at Croydon [south of London]: opened on Thursday, 1850. 'The Asylum has been erected from the design of Mr. S. W. Danks, of Whitehall Place...The principal front is about two hundred and sixty-two feet in length, divided into five parts, and elevated on a terrace varying from twelve to sixteen feet in width, having three flights of steps descending to the gardens in front.
