Bell of the Corporation of Rye, 1850. '... a curious old Bell...It is 5½ inches high, and bears some grotesque figures and scroll-work. Upper inscription, "Mater Dei, memento mei"; lower, "Petrus Gheinevs me fecit, 1566".' [Mother of God, remember. Petrus Gheineus made me, 1566].
