Burton, 127-133 High Street, Hornchurch, Havering, Greater London Authority, 1970s-1990s. The curved elevation of the Burton store on the corner of High Street and North Street, with the adjoining shops on either side. Foundation stones were laid at the site by members of the Burton family in 1939. The shop units in the building were occupied by businesses including the Post Office, Dollond and Aitchison Opticians, Dorothy Perkins, Douglas Estate Agents, and Boots.
