Halsey Court, Somerset, 1854. View of Halsway Manor, '...originally the retreat of Cardinal Beaufort, and situated most charmingly at the foot of the Quantock range'. Manor house which is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is claimed to have been built by Cardinal Beaufort as a hunting lodge. From "Illustrated London News", 1854.
