"Surprise Valley Farm," Arthur Curtiss James property, Beacon Hill Road, Newport, Rhode Island, 1917. Two murals of chickens and one of a pig, probably by Joseph Lindon Smith. Estate designed in 1914 by Grosvenor Atterbury for railroad magnate Arthur Curtiss James. The architecture was inspired by a village in the Italian region of Switzerland.
