Miss Bernetta Miller, Moissant [sic] Aviatrix, in Bleriot plane, between 1910 and 1920. American pioneering aviator Bernetta Adams Miller enrolled for instruction at the Moisant Flying School at Hempstead Plains, Long Island, New York. After receiving her license she joined Moisant's International Aviators, a flying circus. Miller was the fifth licensed woman pilot in the United States. She won a Croix de Guerre in World War I.
