Wembley Park, Brent, Greater London Authority, 1924. The statue of 'Victory' by the sculptor John Angel (1881-1960) in the north garden of the British Empire Exhibition in Wembley Park. The British Empire Exhibition opened on St George's Day 1924 with the aim of stimulating trade and strengthening bonds between the countries of the British Empire.
