Wembley Park, Brent, Greater London Authority, 1924. Looking towards a crowd of people outside the Ceylon Pavilion at the British Empire Exhibition in Wembley Park. The British Empire Exhibition opened on St George's Day 1924 with the aim of stimulating trade and strengthening bonds between the countries of the British Empire. The exhibition proved to be so popular that it ran until October 1925.
