The Mall, City of Westminster, Greater London Authority, 1919. A view along The Mall towards Buckingham Palace, showing flag poles and temporary pylons commemorating famous battles, sieges and liberations of World War I. In the centre is the King's Stand erected around the Queen Victoria Memorial. This photograph is one of a group the photographer took on the 18th, 21st & 23rd July 1919 recording the peace decorations that had been erected in London for Peace Day and the Victory March, 19th July 1919, in celebration of the end of World War 1.
