Looking across the water in the fountain at the Queen Victoria Memorial towards people seated all around it. This photograph is one of a group the photographer took on the 18th, 21st & 23rd July 1919 recording the peace decorations that had been erected in London for Peace Day and the Victory March, 19th July 1919, in celebration of the end of World War 1.
