An act for better regulating the manner of carrying slaves, in British vessels, from the coast of Africa, 1799. Stipulates that all vessels must have painted on their stern the words "Allowed to carry slaves" along with the number they are permitted to carry. Dimensions of the vessels are specified, with fines for overcrowding. London, Liverpool, and Bristol are designated the only slave ports. British legal document.
