"The Hay-Field" - painted by J. J. Hill - from the Exhibition of the Society of British Artists, 1856. Engraving of a painting. 'Here, again is an unmistakable story. Observe the artless aspect of the little brother who is pulling his sister away from the lad who is looking true love into his sister's face. Very nicely treated, too, is the girl herself.
