Temple erected for the Display of Fireworks in the Green-Park, [in London], to Celebrate the Peace of Aix-La-Chapelle, 1856. Commemoration of the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle, (18 October 1748). The treaty was negotiated largely by Britain and France, with the other powers following their lead, and marked the ending the War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48).
