New East River bridge from Brooklyn, between 1900 and 1906. Williamsburg Bridge, New York City. Completed in 1903, it was the longest suspension bridge span in the world until 1924, and connected the Lower East Side of Manhattan with the Williamsburg neighbourhood of Brooklyn. Note faded name on building: 'Degnon McLean Construction Company'.
