Christ Church, New Orleans, between 1890 and 1901. Protestant cathedral designed by Lawrence B. Valk. The steeple was destroyed in the Great New Orleans Hurricane of 1915. Valk's building is the fourth on the site - the original church was founded in 1803, the first non-Roman Catholic church founded in the entire Louisiana Purchase territory.
