The Locks, Saulte [sic] Ste. Marie, Mich., between 1900 and 1907. The 'Tionesta' passenger ship navigating the Soo Locks at Sault Ste. Marie on the St. Marys River. The 'Tionesta' belonged to the Anchor Line of the Pennsylvania Railroad, and was built between 1900 and 1905. She made a nine-day circuit of the Great Lakes. Thes Soo Locks enabled ships to travel between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes. In the distance on the right is the International Railroad Bridge.
