The Anglo-Dutch fleet in the Bay of Algiers in support of the ultimatum for the release of Christian slaves, 26 August 1816, 1818. Britain and the Netherlands bombarded ships and the harbour defences of Algiers in North Africa, in an attempt to end the slavery practices of Omar Agha, the Dey of Algiers.
