Carefree life in Hsin-yang, 1702. The poet Tao Yuanming (T'ao Ch'ien) looks out on his garden in Hsin-Yang, enjoying his retirement from the civil service. One of a series illustrating Chinese history, which Schenk the elder copied from Chinese woodcuts.
