The Persian Expedition - 64th Regiment and Bombay (4th) Rifles, the "Bombay" Steamer aground, Gun-boats, the "Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy", Hallilah Hill, 1857. Sketch '...by an officer, in the Bushire Roads, showing part of what occurred during the attack and capture of Bushire...The Bay of Hallilah. On the right is Hallilah-hill. Near the first clump of date-trees (on the right) is the place for landing...The gun-boats were stationed here to defend the landing of the troops. The firing commenced on Sunday, Dec. 7, at about half-past six in the morning, from the gun-boats, and the enemy's troops were soon dislodged from clump No. 3, and were seen flying in all directions. After this no opposition was made to the landing. The boats in the foreground contain the 64th (H.M.) Regiment, and the Bombay Rifles. The Bombay and Sir Jamsetjee-Jeejeebhoy are two small steamers, employed in towing boats, &c'. From "Illustrated London News", 1857.
