He served as High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 1861, and was Austrian Consul-general in London since 1858. He...leaves two daughters, Constance, and Annie, wife of the Hon. Eliot Yorke, son of the Earl of Hardwicke. Sir Anthony was created a Baronet in 1846, with limitation, failing his own issue, to the sons of his elder brother, Baron Lionel Nathan de Rothschild, and the title consequently passes to his nephew, now Sir Nathan Meyer de Rothschild, M.P. for Aylesbury'.
