The late Viscount Galway, M.P., 1876. Engraving from a photograph by Messrs. Barraud and Jerrard, of Irish peer George Edward Arundell Monckton Arundell, '...son of the fifth Viscount Galway and Baron Killard....The late Viscount Galway was born in 1805; he was educated at Harrow, and at Christ Church, Oxford, where he took his degree. He married, in 1838, his cousin Miss Henrietta Milnes, daughter of Robert Pemberton Milnes, Esq., of Fryston Hall, Yorkshire, and sister of Richard Monckton Milnes, now Lord Houghton. He was elected M.P. for East Retford in 1847, and always kept that seat. In politics he was a Conservative, and was a Lord-in-Waiting to the Queen under Lord Derby's Government of 1852. He has left a son about thirty years of age to inherit the title'. From "Illustrated London News", 1876.
