Casket for the Address presented by the Corporation of London to the Prince of Wales, 1876. 'The casket presented by the Corporation of the city of London to the Prince of Wales, on the occasion of the reception at the Guildhall, was manufactured by Mr. J. H. Benson, of Ludgate-hill and Old Bond-street. The form and details of this work of art-jewellery are Indian: the oblong box is supported by Hindoo pillars, each corner bearing a finely-modelled head of an elephant. The casket is enriched with the arms of his Royal Highness in enamel and with the insignia of the city of London. One side bears an inscription; the whole is surmounted by a figure of Britannia with a lion couchant at her feet'. From "Illustrated London News", 1876.
