Old House in Fetter-Lane, [London], 1858. Sketch of '...a characteristic example of the substantial brick buildings erected, some in the reign of Charles I., but the greater number after the Great Fire of 1662...Near the house shown in the Engraving there is an old-fashioned hostelry, which is at present undergoing a course of transformation to the present fashion...The Holborn end of Fetter-lane still preserves a good deal of the architectural appearance which it did nearly three centuries ago'.
