On the body of the snake 13 circles with portraits of the conspirators against Prince Maurits, arrested and convicted in 1623. The tail of the snake forms a hand with a birch (bundle of sticks). On the left a siren near the broken Arminian tree. On the right the radiant orange tree with the virtues Faith and Justice. In the background a gallows field on the left.
