Additional Info: Albert Edelfelt spent many summers at the country manor of Haiko, not far from Helsinki, where he combined work with family life, as is clearly demonstrated in this painting. With a few rapid brush strokes he conveys the gathering for a meal. Today, Edelfelt’s studio by the manor is a museum.
