Ricciotti, youngest son of General Garibaldi, from a photograph by P.C. Stortz, Liverpool, 1860. 'Portrait of Garibaldi’s youngest son, who is receiving his education in this country. Ricciotti Garibaldi has just attained his thirteenth year: he was but two years of age at the period of the decease of his mother in the disastrous retreat from Rome in 1849. He was brought from Italy five years since by a friend of General Garibaldi, and is being educated at New Brighton College, near Liverpool, of which Dr. Poggi is Principal'.
