Towneley...nearly three years old, and three of his produce were entered at the Canterbury show; Class 5, Wood Rose, Mr. Henry Ambler...about two years and three months old, and a dark roan. Her crops are one of her most taking points; and she has...a nice open head and plenty of good thick flesh; Class 4, Rosette, Mr. Richard Eastwood...She was bred by Mr. Wetherell, the celebrated auctioneer...and is very little more than four years old, but with most wonderful development for her age'.
