This manuscript leaf, made in Iran, contains an illustration of a group of youths before a king and his courtiers who seem to be playing a game . Stylistically it relates to manuscript production in Shiraz in the 10th century AH/AD 16th and early 11th century AH/AD 17th. The painting is framed by illuminated borders in tones of gold.
