Title page of the Lübeck Bible, 1533-1534. Biblical scenes including Adam and Eve with the Serpent, Christ on the cross and rising from the tomb, and God giving Moses the Ten Commandments. This was the first Bible in Low German, also known as the "Bugenhagen Bible", translated by Johannes Bugenhagen, with woodcuts by Erhard Altdorffer.
