Paris fashions for October, 1861. '1. Full Dress. Silver-grey silk robe, having on the skirt but one flounce, surmounted by a plain green ribbon, forming a festoon. The corsage is...finished off with a wide sash...The sleeves are...bordered at the edge with narrow green ribbon, and trimmed with ruching...leghorn bonnet, ornamented with roses... 2. Walking Dress. ...in slate-coloured silk, ornamented with a series of black velvet-edged flounces...The corsage is semi-décollaté, and forms a pelerine à la Marie-Antoinette...The sleeves are wide, and provided with two narrow flounces to match the skirt. White crape bonnet, the ornamental black velvet tour-de-tete enlivened by a rose in the centre.... 3, Dress for Morning Visit. Robe of nankeen-coloured foulard de Chine, trimmed down the front with a row of silk buttons...The bottom of the skirt is furnished with a fluted flounce...Open corsage, provided with lapels, also edged with a narrow fluting and two flat bands, with which the superposed portion of the Maltese sleeves is also ornamented.
