Officers and Privates of the Hon. Artillery Company of London, 1861. 'Quartermaster Ballin; Musketry Inspector, Captain Field; Lieut.-Colonel Lord Colville; Capt. Fox; Capt. and Adjt. Potts; Ensign Norton; Major Robinson; Surgeon Skey; Lieut. Dawes, Artillery Division; Private; Horse Artillery, Private Undress...The uniform of the battalion was by the late King William IV. assimilated to that of the Guards, with the single difference that the ornamental parts, which are gold with the Guards, are silver with this regiment. The horse and foot artillery wear blue and silver, with brown leather belts, and sable busbies...It is a common error to call the regiment the "Royal" Artillery Company - the title is "The Honourable," not "Royal." This title has been borne by the company immemorially'. From "Illustrated London News", 1861.
