Sketches from the interior of Japan, by our special artist: Stone Bridge at Isahaia, 1861. 'The populace were very curious to see us, and their laughter was quite catching; everybody laughed. Merrily we jogged on, up and down hill, through romantic glades and open country, till we came to Isahaia, a town of thatched houses. A great crowd welcomed our arrival.
