'...the Royal bride and bridegroom retired to St. Clare, at Spring Vale, the residence of Colonel and Lady Katherine Vernon Harcourt...[It was] selected by the Queen for the honeymoon of the Prince and Princess...on account of [its] beautiful situation...The stay of their Royal Highnesses was brief at St. Clare, as on Friday last they returned to Osborne.
