The International Exhibition: album cover by F. Theyer, of Vienna, in the Austrian Court, 1862. An '...example of the articles of virtù and utility which Mr. Theyer exhibits in the Vienna Court of the north-west transept, the whole of which are full of taste and merit. The one object which we have selected is an album, the covers of which are carved, enriched with a plaque of porcelain bearing a group of flowers and jewel-like inlays of red and green stone. The wood-carving is in style Elizabethan, but purity of character gives place to modern taste'. From "Illustrated London News", 1862.
