The International Exhibition: carved ivory cup, by F. Böhler, in the Zollverein Department, 1862. The cup '...is surrounded by a relief copy of Landseer's "Deerstalkers' Return," below which the rose, thistle, and shamrock are braided with the ornament. The base is set with medallions bearing emblems of the chase; and the whole is surmounted by a figure of the Prince of Wales in his Highland costume. The carving is delicate and fine and the figures are well rendered; yet, in point of design, there are certain defects arising from the high relief of the subject'.
