Anson, R.A., Inspector-General of Police...Then followed Mr. Andronisa, interpreter to the Embassy; Mr. Marks, interpreter to the Governor: Lieutenant Oliver, R.A., A.D.C.; and Captain Anson, R.A., Inspector-General of Police, each carried by four black slaves, some of them naked to the waist, others with a lamba thrown over their shoulders.'.
