Scene from the new opera, "Love's Triumph", at Covent Garden, 1862. London stage production. 'The Engraving represents the scene in the gardens of the Regent's palace, which forms the finale to the second act, while the Princess and the ladies and gentlemen of her household are listening to the fine choral part-song, "Corin for Cleora dying." The group includes the principal characters of the piece - Miss Louisa Pyne, as the Princess de Valois; Mr. Harrison, as the Marquis de Pons; Mr. Perren, as Savigny; Mdme. Laura Baxter, as the Page; and Mr. Corri, as Mynheer van Groot'. From "Illustrated London News", 1862.
