William Arthur Wallace (1867-1945), commander of the 332nd U.S. Infantry Regiment which served on the Italian front during World War I and returned to New York on the SS Duca d'Aosta on April 14, 1919. He is shaking hands with General Emilio Guglielmotti, Military Attache of the Royal Italian Embassy at Washington, D.C.
