An 'admirable piece of workmanship [consisting of] a silver centrepiece, of tazza form, richly chased and partially gilt...The side ornaments to accompany this piece are vases of Etruscan form, and bear on the foot of each a shield, on which are the Royal arms...and on the cover of the vase is a figure of a Welsh bard holding the harp of his country.
