Garibaldi's visit to London: arrival at Charing-Cross, [London], 1864. View of '...the scene which took place at Charing Cross...when Garibaldi had arrived so far on his way to Stafford House. He is here seated in a four-horse carriage belonging to the Duke of Sutherland. Mr. John Richardson, the honorary secretary of the City reception committee, and Mr. Brinton, the Mayor of Southampton, were in the same carriage with him. His two sons, Menotti and Ricciotti, with one of his Italian secretaries and Sir Robert Nicholson, late a Captain in Garibaldi's army, followed in the next carriage'.
