Rampoor Prize Cup of the Northern India Rifle Association, won by Mr. R. G. Currie, at the Agra shooting-match, 1864. 'The Northern India Rifle Association, which owes its establishment chiefly to the exertions of Mr. R. H. Dunlop, C.B., musters already nearly 250 members. It holds its meetings successively at Agra, Bareilly, Lahore, and Seetapoor, at different periods of the year. Our Engraving represents the prize cup given by his Highness the Nuwab of Rampoor, to be competed for by the members of this association, at their match on the 28th of December, at Agra. Its value is a thousand rupees, and it was manufactured, like all the other prize cups of this association, by Messrs. Angell and Co., of the Strand. The Rampoor prize was won by Mr. R. G. Currie, of the Indian Civil Service, one of the honorary secretaries of this association. The same gentleman also won the gold medal of the association, and one or two other prizes, with the rifle championship of Northern India for 1864. He is a son of Sir F. Currie, one of the Council for the Government of India'. From "Illustrated London News", 1864.
