The Season at Baden-Baden: the Place de la Conversation, 1865. 'Our Correspondent...has spoken of the Place de la Conversation, or fashionable open-air promenade, adorned with orange-trees, and commanding a most agreeable prospect of the town, the castle, and the wooded hills beyond. Here is the Palais de la Conversation, the front of which building, with its elegant Ionic pillars, surmounted by a red-tiled roof. In the middle distance, at the corner of the Place, is the house where the Prussian Royal family are accustomed to reside when they come to Baden'. From "Illustrated London News", 1865.
