Decoration in the Church of Miriam, at Focada, 1868. Engraving of a sketch by 'our special artist. "I have made a copy of a picture of Miriam, the Virgin Mary, which forms the solitary decoration of the church at Focada. It was done with black colour, and is much larger than life, but a very primitive specimen of art. The method by which the outline of the nose and the mouth is given is very peculiar".'
