Paris fashions for April, 1869. 'Fig. 1. Toilette de Promenade - Robe à traine in grey silk...bordered with narrow black satin. Above, a black guipure flounce...At each side hang the ends of the sash of grey faye, trimmed with black guipure studded with jet beads...sleeves trimmed with lace to correspond...a little velvet toque...trimmed with white and grey feathers. Fig. 2. Visiting robe à traine, of violet faye; the skirt, which is bouffanté behind, terminates in a deep flounce, and displays a revers of white faye, striped with violet and trimmed with a rich fringe intermixed with a white cord...At the front of the jupe are several corresponding flounces...striped with violet...The narrow sash, with bow behind, is striped violet and white to match...The high corsage and the cuffs have revers hemmed with fringe...Fig. 3.
