The Loan Collection, South Kensington Museum: bowl or basket, with tiger handles, (Dacian, 5th century), 1868. 'Some of the curious specimens of ornamental art-workmanship lately added to the Loan Collection in the South Kensington Museum are represented in the Illustrations here engraved. Several of there, being Dacian, of the fifth century, are lent by the Government of the United Principalities of Roumania. One is an octagonal basket or bowl, which was originally made of stone or crystal panels, set in a gold framework, but the framework alone remains; the handles of the bowl are shaped like tigers'.
