The future King Edward VII visits survivors '...who were injured by the blowing up of the wall at Clerkenwell...His Royal Highness arrived about noon, accompanied by the Duke of Sutherland and several other gentlemen, in two private carriages. They were met by the secretary and treasurer, and some of the surgeons, of the hospital, and conducted to the beds where those patients lay.
