A Group of Passengers Boarding the Caproni Flying Boat, 1920s. The Caproni CA60 Transaereo was a triplane flying boat airliner designed to fly 100 passengers from Italy to New York but was unsuccessful, crashing on its second test flight on Lake Maggiore.
