Putney Embankment, Putney, Wandsworth, Greater London Authority, 1881. Boats moored beside Putney Embankment seen from the new Putney Bridge with the new draw dock to the left foreground leading towards the Terrace (shored up during building work) and beyond that the Star and Garter can be glimpsed further along the river front. The label notes give details of some of the boats: "'Harmony' built by Readman at Faversham 1857, 'Annie & Alvie', 'Lizzie'". This photograph appears in 'William Fields's Photographs of Putney', compiled by Dorian Gerhold and Michael Bull for the Wandsworth Historical Society.
