Thornsett Road, Earlsfield, Wandsworth, Greater London Authority, 1881. The view looking south along the River Wandle from the west bank of the river with cottages on Thornsett Road in the left foreground and the London and South Western Railway Bridge seen crossing the river in the distance. The photograph was taken from a point roughly where the Penwith Road bridge now stands. The row of cottages in the foreground has since been demolished to be replaced with the extension to Groton Road, running parallel to the river and connecting the west ends of Thornsett Road and Groton Road.
